The beach is lovely. A pair of water/sand shoes is advisable, as you can't take more than a step without hitting a shell of one kind or another. Plan to pack lightly if you're a shell gatherer and are tempted to take lots of shells home! There is a large board near the shuffleboard court with a listing and photos of all the shells that you can compare your loot with. You can walk for literally miles along the shore, and the sunsets are glorious. Bring down some wine/whatever drink you enjoy (and bring a towel, as the chairs and umbrellas are brought in) and take in the view.
